In conjunction with the 2026 Annual Meeting in Boston, MA, SPIDA will be holding the fourth Annual Bill Bradford Jr. Memorial 18-Hole Golf Tournament. Bill was a beloved member of the sheet metal industry for decades and one of the founding SPIDA members. SPIDA will honor Bill by fundraising an annual award in his name.

The recipient of the SPIDA Outstanding Service Award will receive a $2,000 scholarship thanks to the generous support of SPIDA members and SNIPS News!

   

WHY: SPIDA is recognizing and honoring the memory of Bill Bradford Jr who gave so much to the spiral industry and the members he touched. Our organization is honoring a person that exemplifies Bill’s characteristics: hardworking, selflessness, positivity, patience, mentoring, steadfastness, respectfulness, loyal and integrity.

NOMINATIONS: Each member company can submit two (2) names of individuals that best meet Bill’s characteristics.  Please provide details why you think the individual deserves the award.  The nominee can be anyone in your own organization; from the shop floor to the executive office, or you may choose to submit a fellow SPIDA member  you've come to know, or a vendor representative that has served you well. 

Nomination Deadline is Monday, April 20, 2026.
Nominations are not time-consuming, but do require some information gathering so please don’t wait until last minute.

The winner of this year's award will be announced on Tuesday, May 5, at the 2026 SPIDA Annual Meeting in Boston, MA!

Proper golf attire shall mean the following:

  • Gentlemen and boys: Shirts with collars or mock turtle neck style with sleeves and slacks or Bermuda shorts of mid-thigh length are considered appropriate attire. Tank tops, tee shirts, mesh shirts, sweat pants, warm-up suits, blue jeans, swim wear, “short” shorts, cut-offs, gym shorts, tennis outfits or other athletic shorts are not permitted.
  • Ladies and girls: Dresses, skirts, slacks, mid-length shorts and blouses are considered appropriate attire. Halter tops, tee shirts, cut-offs, sweat pants, warm-up suits, blue jeans, swim wear, tennis dresses, “short” shorts, or other athletic shorts are not permitted.
  • Golf Shoes: Appropriate golf shoes are required for all golfers. Shoes with metal spikes are not allowed at the Club. Shoes with “soft spikes” or spike-less shoes must be worn by all golfers.
